“It’s our big Tokyo day… and the forecast says rain.”
“Is there a full-day plan where the kids won’t get soaked — or bored?”
Good news: this is exactly when the Odaiba & Toyosu bay area shines. Some of Japan’s best indoor attractions — teamLab Planets, LEGOLAND Discovery Center, Tokyo Joypolis — are lined up along one driverless train line. Honestly? This area is better on a rainy day. 🐻
I’m Travel Mama Bear, a mom living in Japan. This guide gives you a stroller-friendly, indoor-focused 1-day itinerary for Odaiba & Toyosu — with age guides for each spot and the one trick that makes the whole day work: booking your tickets in advance.

🚝 How to Get Around — The Yurikamome Line
- One train line does it all: the Yurikamome connects Shin-Toyosu to Odaiba-Kaihinkoen and every stop in this itinerary. Every station has elevators — stroller-friendly all the way
- Grab the front seats! The Yurikamome is fully automated with no driver — sit at the very front and your kids get a panoramic “driver’s view” of Rainbow Bridge and Tokyo Bay. The ride itself becomes an attraction
- Stations connect to malls via covered decks — a few short open-air stretches exist, so a compact umbrella and a stroller rain cover keep everyone dry
- Every mall has nursing rooms & changing tables — Aqua City, DECKS, and LaLaport Toyosu are all well equipped

🌀 9:30 — teamLab Planets TOKYO (Toyosu)
The world-famous “museum you walk through water.” You explore barefoot, wading through knee-deep water and mirror-floored light installations. Completely indoors — the rain simply doesn’t exist in here. The first slots of the morning are the least crowded.
- 🦶 Everyone goes barefoot — some areas have knee-deep water. Bring a change of clothes and a small towel for kids (lockers available)
- 👗 Mirror floors — wear pants rather than skirts (wrap-skirts can be borrowed on site)
- 🚼 Strollers are stored at the entrance — a baby carrier works best inside
- ⏱ Time needed: about 1.5–2 hours
- 🚉 Access: 1-min walk from Shin-Toyosu Station (Yurikamome) / 10-min walk from Toyosu Station (Metro)
🐻 Travel Mama Bear says: “If your little one is still in diapers, pack waterproof diapers and a full change of clothes — the water areas are the highlight, and kids will NOT want to skip them!”

🍱 12:00 — Lunch: Senkyaku Banrai or LaLaport Toyosu
Two great options right after teamLab. Want the full Japanese experience? Head to Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai — an Edo-period-style food street next to Toyosu Market, with point-and-order street food (seafood skewers, wagyu sushi, matcha sweets) and a free rooftop footbath on the 8th floor. Want guaranteed seats and baby facilities? LaLaport Toyosu is directly connected to the station, with nursing rooms and plenty of reservable restaurants. Both are fully indoor.

🚢 14:00 — Yurikamome to Odaiba | Aqua City
After lunch, hop on the Yurikamome to Odaiba-Kaihinkoen Station. Race the kids to the front seats — the driverless ride over the bay is a mini-attraction in itself 🚝
- 🗽 If the rain pauses: snap a family photo with the Statue of Liberty replica and Rainbow Bridge behind you
- 🌧 If it’s pouring: go straight into Aqua City Odaiba — a huge all-weather mall with a cinema, food court, and Toys”R”Us
- ☕ Break time: bills and Eggs ‘n Things both welcome strollers inside, with bay views and famous pancakes
- 🚼 Nursing rooms and baby facilities available
🎠 16:00 — DECKS Tokyo Beach: LEGOLAND & Joypolis
Right next to Aqua City, DECKS Tokyo Beach is this itinerary’s rainy-day superweapon. Pick your indoor playground based on your kids’ ages 👇
