KidZania Tokyo — the famous “kids run the city” park where children try out real jobs, from firefighter to sushi chef — sits right inside LaLaport Toyosu. If it’s on your list, one heads-up: it will happily swallow your family’s entire day, so decide where lunch fits before you walk in.

One honest heads-up about the language: booking a ticket is easy in English, but inside the park most activities run in Japanese — your kids will be surrounded by Japanese-speaking staff and children. Two good workarounds. First: visit on a Wednesday — every week is “English Wednesday!”, when about half of the activities run in English and English-speaking “Global Staff” in blue polo shirts are on hand (see the official English page). Second: if you want English support all day, on any day, there is an English Premium Tour — a dedicated English-speaking guide stays with your family, with meals and a private room included (so it even solves the lunch question this article is about).
